Sophy Chang, a South Korean-born interdisciplinary artist working in soft sculpture, installation, performance, video, and more! Grounded in her own experiences as an Asian woman, she focuses on how her encounters with racism and sexism are entangled with anthropocentrism. Through her work, she seeks to open new possibilities for warmer, more respectful, and inclusive coexistence.
Currently, she lives and works in NY. She holds a BFA degree from the School of Visual Arts (NY, 2019) and an MFA from University of Delaware (DE, 2024.) Her work has been shown in various countries across the world, including South Korea, China, the U.S., Chile, and Switzerland.
